This October, Edmonton Neighbourhood Watch joins in celebrating women and girls from our past and our present who are contributing to a better, more inclusive Canada.

From the early trailblazers who fought for equality, to the women leaders, volunteers, and changemakers of today, we are reminded that neighbourhood safety and community strength are built on the commitment and vision of women across generations.

Here in Edmonton, women continue to be at the heart of community safety. They are community representatives, volunteers, advocates, and leaders who inspire trust and connection among neighbours. Their voices and actions remind us that creating safe, welcoming, and inclusive communities is a shared responsibility that thrives on diversity and collaboration.

Together, let’s continue the legacy of women who lead with courage, compassion, and vision.
