Walk Your Block Program

At Edmonton Neighbourhood Watch, it is our hope that each of our volunteers can gain a valuable and positive volunteer experience as we work together to create safer neighbourhoods.

See Something Suspicious, Report it.

Walk Your Block Program

Research has shown that crime is significantly reduced when residents are visibly present and are actively involved on their streets and in their neighbourhoods. Individuals seen walking around at various times during the day can help deter crime.

Walk Your Block Program

When individuals are aware of their neighbourhood, they are better equipped to recognize and respond when something is not “right”.

Who?

The program is for "you" any resident who is willing to walk their block and be an engaged member of the community.

Where?

You participate by simply taking a walk, making you a visible presence and an extra set of eyes and ears for the neighbourhood.

When?

You can participate whenever you like, as the program is flexible and works with your personal schedule.

Why?

The goal is to prevent crime before it happens by increasing community awareness, fostering connections with neighbours, and encouraging residents to report suspicious activity.
