Explore your community with Jane’s Walk this weekend. EFCL wants to help you lead a Jane’s Walk in your neighbourhood. From September 17-19, 2021, everyday residents will tell stories about their communities, explore their cities and connect with neighbours.

Jane Jacobs (1916-2006) was an urbanist and activist who championed citizen-led and community-inspired approach to city building. During the first weekend each May, beginning in 2007, free, volunteer-run tours take place, to coincide with its namesake, Jane Jacobs’ birthday. Walks have been enjoyed across six continents, in cities from Anchorage, Alaska, USA to Calcutta, India and beyond.
